Workshops
January 2025
Our January 2025 workshop will be led by Libby Armstrong, our current guild President, showing us how to make a Potato Chip Quilt. Libby has shown us some lovely examples of this simple pattern at previous guild meetings. The potato chip pattern was designed as a donation quilt for children in the Head Start program. This pattern is perfect for beginning quilters, and can be great fun for our experienced members as the pattern lends itself easily to creative adaptation. Participants will need 1 1/4 yards of fabric A and ¾ yard of fabric B for the quilt top. Completion of the quilt requires 1 ½ yards for the backing and ½ yard for binding. Finished size is 40.25" X 50.25". Picture below.
There will be a signup sheet at our January meeting. See the January Newsletter for cutting instructions.
February 2025
Our February 2025 workshop will be led by our long-time member Linda Coulombe, guiding us in cutting, sewing, and assembling a fabric handbag. This will be a fun and productive workshop – the creative possibilities for fabric combinations are as varied as the workshop participants. Hope to see you there – 9:30 a.m. on February 28, 2025 at the VFW hall.
